The Property
The Solaris sits at 141 East Meadow Drive, in the center of Vail Village, about a ten minute walk from Gondola One and the base of the mountain. Matsuhisa is downstairs. Bol, the upscale bowling alley and lounge, and Chasing Rabbits, the dining and entertainment spot, are in the building. The plaza out front holds the ice rink and the Water Tree light sculpture. There is a 24 hour concierge, valet and bell staff, an indoor pool, a spa, and heated underground parking.
We have been driving guests to that building since it opened, and to the corner it sits on for far longer than that. When you book with us for a Solaris stay, you get George or Kyla on the phone, a private vehicle, and a driver who has made the trip in every condition Colorado throws at the road.
Getting to the Door
Here is the detail most services get wrong. The Solaris address reads East Meadow Drive, but East Meadow is the pedestrian side of the village, where a car cannot go. The vehicle entrance is the porte-cochere off the South Frontage Road. The heated parking garage is around the corner, separate from where you pull in for pickup and drop-off.
The porte-cochere is tight and low. Even a Suburban needs care getting in and out, and plenty of vehicles have caught it over the years. A Sprinter fits only by backing in off the Frontage Road, and that takes a driver who has done it before. We have, many times. A first-timer in a 14 passenger van finds out the hard way, usually at morning drop-off when the road is busy. We plan the vehicle and the approach ahead of time so your pickup is smooth and your departure is on schedule.
That is the difference between a service that has driven the Solaris for years and one that found the address on a map.
Private Aviation
If you fly private, we meet you on the ramp and drive straight to the Solaris. Eagle County is about 40 minutes from the door, and when wind or weather closes it, we make the longer drive from whichever Western Slope or Denver field your trip routes through. The FBOs we work:
Your bags go in, and we head for Vail Village. No terminal, no waiting.
Flat-Rate Pricing
| Route | Suburban up to 6 | Sprinter up to 14 |
|---|---|---|
| Eagle County (EGE) → Solaris | $290 | $430 |
| Denver Airport (DEN) → Solaris | $595 | $895 |
| Hourly charter (3-hour minimum) | $160/hr | $225/hr |
Every airport rate is flat and all-inclusive: gratuity, fuel, airport fees, and taxes. The price we quote is the price you pay. No surge pricing during ski season, no weather surcharge when it snows. Hourly and point-to-point rates do not include gratuity.
A Long Relationship with the Building
For over a decade we have been Inspirato's car service in the Vail Valley. When their members came to town and stayed at the Solaris, Inspirato trusted us to get them to the door.
Over the years that turned into something we are proud of. Members who first met us through Inspirato now call us directly when they come back to the Solaris. They know the vehicle will be clean, the driver will be one of us, and the price will be the one we quoted. That is the whole point of doing this as a family for as long as we have.
The Corner It Sits On
We have lived in this valley for over 30 years, which means we remember the corner the Solaris sits on when it was the old Crossroads complex, a tired plaza with a surface parking lot, the Hubcap Brewery, and a club called 8150.
The Hubcap Brewery and Kitchen was the valley's first brewpub, pouring its Vail Pale Ale on Meadow Drive from 1991 until it closed in 2002. A few doors down, 8150 was Vail's music room. People still talk about the floor that bounced under the crowd. National acts came through, the Wailers and the bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley played weeks apart in its final winter, and a longtime local remembers crowds of 700 or 800 people on a good night. A Summit Daily sendoff in 2007 put it simply: Los Angeles had the Whisky, New York had CBGB, and Vail had 8150. When the Crossroads came down that year for the Solaris, both were gone.
None of that is in a brochure. It is just what you pick up living somewhere for three decades and driving its streets every week. It is also why we know the building, the entrance, and the village around it the way we do.

Good to Know
The Solaris address reads 141 East Meadow Drive, but East Meadow is the pedestrian side of Vail Village, where a car cannot go. We pull into the porte-cochere off the South Frontage Road. The parking garage is around the corner, so the pickup spot is the porte-cochere itself. We coordinate the timing with you ahead of time so you are not left guessing at the curb.
About 40 minutes in normal conditions. Eagle is the closest airport to Vail and the fastest transfer to the Solaris door. Many guests fly into EGE for exactly that reason.
About 120 miles and roughly 2 hours by way of I-70 West, longer on busy winter weekends, particularly Sunday afternoons. We track your flight and meet you at baggage claim, and we tell you when to leave for a departure so you make your gate with time to spare.
Eagle County Airport to the Solaris starts at $290 in a Suburban and $430 in a Sprinter. Denver International Airport to the Solaris starts at $595 in a Suburban and $895 in a Sprinter. Every airport rate is flat and all-inclusive: gratuity, fuel, airport fees, and taxes. No surge pricing.
Yes, with the right approach. The porte-cochere is tight and low, and a Sprinter fits only by backing in off the South Frontage Road. We have done it for years. If your group needs a Sprinter, we know how to get it in and out cleanly without holding up the driveway.
Yes. We provide private car service throughout Vail Village, Lionshead, Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, Avon, and Edwards, along with airport runs to Eagle and Denver. Call or text us with where you are staying and we will handle the rest.
