The Ritz-Carlton Club,
Aspen Highlands.
The Ritz Run.
Seventy miles from the Eagle County tarmac to the front steps of the Ritz-Carlton Club. About an hour and fifteen minutes through the Roaring Fork Valley.
EGE.
Mt. Sopris.
The Ritz at Aspen Highlands.
The drive from Eagle County Airport to Aspen Highlands is the one we'd choose every time. From the EGE terminal we head west on I-70 through Glenwood Canyon, one of the most spectacular stretches of interstate in the country, the Colorado River running below and red rock walls climbing nearly two thousand feet overhead. At Glenwood Springs we drop south onto Highway 82 and follow the Roaring Fork River upstream through Carbondale and Basalt.
About halfway down the valley, Mt. Sopris comes into view on the right, two twin summits over 12,000 feet, one of the most photographed mountains in Colorado. It's the moment most of our guests pull out their phones. Twenty minutes later we're pulling up to the porte-cochère at the Ritz-Carlton Club at Aspen Highlands.
Seventy miles. About an hour and fifteen minutes. No connections, no shared shuttle stops, no rental car steering wheel.
Why EGE Beats Denver for Aspen
Denver International is 200 miles and 3.5 hours from Aspen. Eagle County is 70 miles and 1h 15m. If your private aviation or commercial routing gives you a choice, EGE wins every time, especially in winter when I-70 over Vail Pass can add an hour with no warning. EGE is served seasonally by United, American, Delta, and Air Canada, plus full-time private jet operations through Vail Valley Jet Center and the EGE FBOs.
The Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen Highlands
The Ritz sits at the base of Aspen Highlands, steps from the gondola and a short shuttle ride from Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, and Snowmass. For Club members and guests, we know the bell desk, the valet circle, and which entrance is easiest with skis and luggage. We pull up, the bell staff handles the bags, you're checked in and on the mountain.
Most Club arrivals are families and groups, so the Suburban is built for it, ski bags, boot bags, and a week of luggage without anyone holding a bag on their lap. Kyla tracks your flight, so if you land early or sit on the tarmac, the car moves with you. Want a stop at Clark's Market for groceries before check-in, or car seats for the kids? Tell us when you book and it is handled.
Highland Bowl & The Mountain
Aspen Highlands is the skiers' mountain, and Highland Bowl is the reason. A 45-minute boot pack from the top of the Loge Peak chair gets you to 12,392 feet and one of the best inbounds hikes in North America. We've delivered plenty of guests at first chair who wanted nothing more than to skin straight to the bootpack. We'll have you at the gondola before the lift spins.
Beyond the Ritz
Aspen Highlands is our destination on this route, but we serve the full Roaring Fork Valley, Aspen Village, the St. Regis, The Little Nell, the Hotel Jerome, Snowmass Village, Basalt, and Carbondale. One call to Kyla and we route accordingly.
