There are many activities to do in Vail that will elevate your ski vacation experience.
Book a dog sledding tour with Mountain Musher. Enjoy serene views through Aspen and Pine trees on private trails, you may even come across some wildlife! During the 2 hour tour, the guide will take you up and down a mountain allowing the dogs to run providing an exciting unique experience. The halfway break will allow you to capture some memorable photos and enjoy homemade pumpkin bread and hot cocoa. Choose between half day and full day tours or if you are feeling a bit more adventurous, rent your own! They will instruct you with proper safety and operating instructions while providing a map of the area you will be free to enjoy. This is a great way to see Colorado’s beauty in all it’s glory.
Want to be a little more low key? Choose between 2 of Vail’s outdoor ice rinks to try your hand at ice skating. The Solaris ice rink is nestled in the village of Vail surrounded by shops and restaurants so when you are done skating you are steps away from bowling, a movie theater and world class restaurants. The Arrabelle ice rink is located in the heart of Lionshead village. Lionshead is a quaint village with its own old-world European charm.
A truly unique and exclusive experience to Vail is Pink Vail. The world’s biggest ski day to fundraise for the fight against cancer. This event brings nearly 3000 people dressed in pink to Vail for an all day event with live music, deck parties, costume contest and more. You don’t have to be a skier to participate. 100% of Pink Vail donations benefit all patients at our local Shaw Cancer Center, whether male or female, no matter the cancer diagnosis, all have the opportunity to benefit from Pink Vail funds throughout their cancer treatment experience.
